The following describes to the best of our knowledge the technical descriptions of the files hosted on this site.
CLIP GENERATION
A description is provided for the way that clips have been originally created on this site:

camera using an intervalometer. The compression used (Raw / jpeg large etc) is indicated if an option is available
to purchase the original stills.
PRESENTATIONS, HOME MOVIES & WEB SITES
POWERPOINT: Timelapse clips are ideal for adding some sparkle to PowerPoint presentations. Clips are provided at a size that can be enlarged to full frame or included as part of a frame. For information on how to play the movies through PowerPoint (wmv for PC, quicktime for MAC) go to: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/powerpoint/HA011729321033.aspx
HOME MOVIES: You can use these files in your home movies. The quality is not quite professional, but you can expand the frame size in your edit package slightly to fill the screen.
WEB SITES: The files are of good enough quality to allow you to recompress them for playing on your web site.
The files are compressed in both Quicktime and Windows formats. This is because some versions of PC installed PowerPoint do not play embedded Quicktime files as easily as Windows native Windows Media Files.

If you have created your timelapse sequence using a digital camera, we suggest you send us the clip after having imported the images into an edit or effects package (or quicktime) and then saving the sequence with the following settings:

We can accept alternative file types and codecs (H264, DV, .avi, .mpg) - but will let you know if you provide something we cannot use.
